A little break from my recent Scotland photography run.

With the recent trend of murky, overcast and windless conditions here, we enjoyed a stroll around the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail in Clapham, to capture the last of this year's autumn colours. đź‘Ť

A peaceful autumn woodland path through the Ingleborough Estate shows walkers strolling beneath a natural canopy of beech trees, their leaves displaying brilliant shades of amber and gold. The well-maintained gravel path, carpeted with fallen leaves, stretches into the misty distance whilst tall, grey-barked trees stand sentinel on either side, creating a tranquil tunnel effect that frames both the lone walker in the foreground and the small group of ramblers ahead. A moss-covered stone bridge with curved walls leads to traditional Yorkshire stone cottages in the village of Clapham, whilst two walkers pause on the path ahead. The narrow footbridge, dusted with autumn leaves, curves gently upward between weathered walls topped with verdant moss, creating a charming scene typical of Yorkshire Dales architecture, with the grey-stone houses and their distinctive sash windows providing a quintessentially British backdrop.
A stone footpath strewn with autumn leaves winds its way through verdant woodland towards a dramatic waterfall, which cascades through an ancient stone arch bridge in the Yorkshire Dales. The stepped path, bordered by a wooden handrail and lush vegetation, leads viewers' eyes naturally to the tumbling white waters of Clapham Beck as it flows through multiple tiers beneath the weathered stonework, whilst the surrounding trees display the golden hues of autumn. A dreamy woodland scene captures the essence of autumn in the Yorkshire Dales, where Japanese maples display vibrant coral-red leaves amongst the yellowing foliage of native trees. The misty atmosphere softens the forest's depths, whilst the rough-barked trunk of a silver birch stands prominently in the foreground, creating a striking contrast with the ethereal blend of emerald, amber and crimson leaves that dance throughout the composition.

Purple thistle blossom, closeup.

Sun on a fern and a rock. Strong contrast.

Different plants reclaiming the parking lot of an abandoned building. High noon, searing sun.

#MiniReview #travel Scotland is so moist moss is growing absolutely everywhere, which allows @eclectech to depict it as happy critters. Food was disappointing but the landscapes were breathtaking when the fog lifted, and McDonalds were either merciless raiders or victims of betrayal depending on the museum exhibit.

Hello everyone. This is my new diaspora account. Looking forward to getting to know more of you here. I'm an Oregonian living in Okinawa, Japan.

My interests are #photography #movies #travel #videogames #ffxiv #japan #okinawa to name a few.

This past week-end was my first time going to #Dota2 #TheInternational in Seattle, WA but from the few conversations I had with other attendees on my way home it was the most expensive and disappointing one to date since the yearly tournament started in 2001.

Oh well, I guess I had to try, and the little I saw of a city I had never been to before was nice.

So, I flew 6 hours inland (1,200 miles, 1,931km) and I’m still in the same country. I was wondering in what other countries you can also do that, but my Internet search for “countries by biggest length” so far yielded more results about penises that I was ready to bargain for.

So far I have:
- Russia
- China
- Chile
- Argentina
- Australia
- Canada (thx @Fu )

Kazakhstan looks like a good candidate but I was not able to find definite information on its dimensions aside from its area which of no use to me.

Windsor Castle Just Outside of London England

Windsor Castle is not right in London, but it is worth the little side excursion to get there. Only a short drive away from the busyness of London, it is the burial site of the late beloved Queen Elizabeth II, and in close proximity to Oxford.

It is true Windsor Castle is not right in London, but it is worth the little side excursion to get there. Only a short drive away from the busyness of London, it is the burial site of the late beloved Queen Elizabeth II, and in close proximity to Oxford. The grounds are spectacular, the stories and history are required if you are attempting to understand England, and now the most beloved Queen of the Twentieth Century, Queen Elizabeth is buried there. Just that alone makes it worth experiencing, but imagine taking in a spectacular changing of the guards as well.

Sagres, Portugal is captivating in its natural beauty. Renowned for its pristine beaches & rock formations that stretch along the Algarve Coast & the Atlantic Ocean. Sagres is a surfers mecca with something to offer every level of surfer. Love the way the clouds mimic the waves of the sea.

Have you ever thought about visiting all of the national parks in the U.S. in one epic road trip?

In 2016, data scientist Randy Olson optimized the route of 14,498 miles (23,333 km) which would take 2+ months. He even designed the journey as a circle so you can begin at any point & direction.

All the details: https://randalolson.com/2016/07/30/the-optimal-u-s-national-parks-centennial-road-trip/ #science #data #nature #travel

"“The coffee roaster Four Barrel in San Francisco looks like the Australian Toby’s Estate in Brooklyn looks like The Coffee Collective in Copenhagen looks like Bear Pond Espresso in Tokyo. You can get a dry cortado with perfect latte art at any of them, then Instagram it on a marble countertop and further spread the aesthetic to your followers.”"

I am tired of this aesthetic, personally.

#MiniReview #Travel Montréal in Canada is a nice city with plenty to see and plenty to do, including diverse architecture and a rich culinary, cultural and entertainment offer. But even on the second visit I still can’t get past the twin language (Québécois-English) quirk and the cultural mix between Old French and Contemporary North American cultures breaks my brain used to Metropolitan French culture and American culture separately.
