#Dota2 #TheInternational Without spoiling too much, this isn’t the tournament outcome I wanted but I’m not unhappy either!

See you next year!

#Dota2 #TheInternational Of course, just as I write this, Team Vision takes a clean fight against Team Spirit, which probably adds 10 minutes to the slow agony that this game is shaping up as.

#Dota2 #TheInternational The game’s not over yet, but it seems Team Vision pretty much conceded the game and the tournament when they picked Juggernaut which will probably omnislash yet another team’s hopes for an Aegis. 😞

#Dota2 #TheInternational And we’re going to a game 5 which both exhilarating and also very disrespectful of my sleep.

#Dota2 #TheInternational Man, it’s 6am here and Spirit and Vision are only halfway through the third game of this Best of 5 series. I have a table-top RPG session at 12pm, am I going to be able to get any sleep beforehand?

#Dota2 #TheInternational I assume you already know, but if you want to follow the livestream along, here’s where you can find it:

#Dota2 #TheInternational I was wondering lately what Reya (formerly Sheepsticked) had been up to, as she didn’t appear in a Tier 1 tournament since late 2025, as here she is at The International. Glad to see her and her casual style.

#Dota2 #TheInternational The censorship at this tournament regarding betting sponsors is harsher than even the Esports World Cup in Dubai. No name appears, of course, but no logo either, resulting in unrecognizable team branding. “Iron Wing” (1win, former Tundra), “BoomBoys” (BetBoom, “BB team” at the EWC), “Team Vision” (PariVision, “PVision” at the EWC).

I’m not particularly against this censorship, but I got a little confused when the 16 qualified teams were announced.

I just sat down to watch #TheInternational #Dota2 tournament’s final day. It’s happening in China so I’m in for a long night on the US East Coast. I can’t really follow the #Dota2 tag from my single-user instance so I’ll do my own live-microblogging thread.

This past week-end was my first time going to #Dota2 #TheInternational in Seattle, WA but from the few conversations I had with other attendees on my way home it was the most expensive and disappointing one to date since the yearly tournament started in 2001.

Oh well, I guess I had to try, and the little I saw of a city I had never been to before was nice.

I’m going to #TheInternational in Seattle this fall after all! I’ve only been to a #Dota2 LAN tournament once before, the #ESLOne New York in 2015, but this is the big one. I’m excited to feel the audience energy during games!
