As a part of this socially-asocial #Fediverse network I would like to talk to you on the other side of the ocean.

I rarely write posts in #English and I only have very few followers that are not #Czech or #Slovakian, so I'm not sure if this ever reaches my target audience of this post - the #USA citizens.

I am seriously concerned about what is happening lately with your country, who was supposed to be (or was acting like) a #democracy beacon. Yet, somehow you managed to reach the point, where #president, who most of you (!) elected is felon, who pardons criminals and does pretty rude political statements to country, who is losing lives of it's citizens only because they have chosen the path of being a #free nation.

As a person from central #EU I must admit this is seriously hard to watch as I expected your society to be #freedom and #liberty friendly and yet I see your president fueling #propaganda from #Russia and bullying president of #Ukraine.

I do not think this is a great way to #StopWar - this is a way to lose it. I'm hell-of-a-sure that befriending pretty much dictator of #Russia while his propagandists talks about nuking Washington is not a good idea, but somehow your president believes it is.

Please reconsider and act, this is not funny and people are dying. Your voices need to be heard or somehow you might find out you live in country you never imagined...

Warming is warming, but another #winter is coming and in different parts of the world people will be freezing. Not far from here, #Russia continues to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure, and #Ukraine is preparing for another hardcore winter.
And this affects not only those fighting on the front lines, but also civilians in cities and rural areas.
That's why we want to add our micro contribution to winter aid and take up the production of chemical warmers, disposable and reusable.
- Reusable ones (sodium thiosulfate or sodium acetate with a mechanical trigger) in the form of larger and smaller pads, as well as inserts for vests (first aid for hypothermia).
- Disposable in the form of shoe and gloves inserts (catalytic iron oxidation),

We are looking for people willing to develop prototypes from publicly available materials, which we will test, publish documentation (under a C0 license) and put into production. We do not intend to sell it. We will collect donations to cover the costs, and the produced heaters will go to medical and aid groups."

#Poland PiS government declassified and published parts of 2011 Polish military doctrine, highlighting one fragment which planned retreat towards Vistula river and holding a defense line there.

The sole purpose of this publication was to bash PiS largest political opponent — PO, who was in power back then — and imply they would give up half of Poland instantly (the message is conveniently presented with limited details to prevent its verification).

And that's the essence of Polish politics unfortunately — bash your opponent at literally any cost, even if it involves revealing and misrepresenting state secrets, thus demolishing the very concept of state continuity and preservation of state policy regardless and above of tribal wars.

It's not the first time PiS did it — in 2006-2007 they published a massive "report on military intelligence", whom they accused of being "post-communist" and in the report they happily revealed plenty of operational details including sources of information. The report gained huge popularity in #Russia, not surprisingly, but also a lot of raised eyebrows on the stupidity of such transparency, which compromised Polish sources e.g. in Afghanistan.

This PiS publication also gained plenty of interest in Russia and Ukraine, with comments ridiculing "cowardice" of Polish army. The harm to the reputation of Polish command, Poland's defense forces and Polish state on its own is immense, but this has never stopped them before.
