Our TROM Social first page (login) is not anymore just an empty page with a simple login, it provides you a peek into the fediverse:

Now you can see what's going on on the network, maybe to convince you to join 😀. It took a lot of CSS and HMTL gymnastics to achieve this. From my tests on desktop with mobile emulators all looks good on mobile, but for some reason when I check it on my phone it does not look as it should....I shall investigate.

Implemented some dark toggles for some of our services, where it was doable, such as Call

Speed

And made our TROM Call, Jitsi Meet, more reliable.

Lastly we spent many days trying to figure out how to make our Peertube Live work better. Hours of tests, lots of logs. Hopefully we can make it more reliable.

We want to clarify some recent allegations regarding Threads hiding posts containing "pixelfed"

Several users pointed out they were unable to reproduce this, leading us to believe it was a glitch.

We're happy to see Threads open up federation, and look forward to working together to build a better fediverse.

Our Frienica instance got updated to the latest stable and all of our custom themes were updated and we added 2 more: Brown and Grey.

Go to Settings - Display to test them out.

They will be shared with the Friendica's developers if they want to include them in the default Friendica's themes or get some ideas about future changes.

Big thanks to these people who create Friendica for being so awesome and for keeping Friendica so useful and feature-rich!

I always do trade-free stuff, but since I am trapped in this trade-system and I do not get enough financial support via the projects that I do, I have to also trade a bit.

We try to do something decent and make some money with that, to then support our free projects.

Threads is currently testing ActivityPub/Fediverse support. Many if their devs, and some personalities like @timothyjchambers ( @tchambers ) already have it activated.

As per Instagram's CEO, the Fediverse feature will be opt-in for Threads accounts. We'll probably see less than half of Threads community in the #fediverse.

The #ContentNation situation is a dumpster fire for the #Fediverse. What would you do if you were building something, people misunderstood what it was, and things escalated to a point that someone loaded CSAM onto your server for the sake of reporting it?

Pixelfed Account Migration will transfer your followers to another Pixelfed or Mastodon account!

We could limit this to only other Pixelfed servers, but why?

The ability to easily migrate your followers between platforms and servers is what makes the #fediverse special ❤️

Hey #Fediverse, something I've been missing from the features is the ability to tag accounts on a photo. Namedropping @\lumi every time I post a picture of her feels awkward but I would love to have her account there for people who want to look her up. Same for photos of friends. I don't see an issue filed for this (for Mastodon).

Are there maybe any issues (spam, harassment) that I'm unaware of for which this feature would be a bad idea? I remember on Twitter this used to be feature one could turn off, I'd imagine here it would be opt-in.

Any information about the current state of the Fediverse integration by Threads users? I mean the number of AP activated users from that Fediverse instance?
