Visit a Repair Café Near You

Repair Cafés are free meeting places and they’re all about repairing things (together). In the place where a Repair Café is located, you’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need. On clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, et cetera. You’ll also find expert volunteers, with repair skills in all kinds of fields.

Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with the specialists they start making their repairs in the Repair Café. It’s an ongoing learning process. If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job. You can also get inspired at the reading table – by leafing through books on repairs and DIY.

Hi,
I'm working on my first #friendica #VPS installation, here you'll find my initial post about general thoughts like what distro to use, size and costs.
I'm using the tutorial "creating a friendica server - ubuntu" by @Hank G ☑️.

As of now I'm doing well in the process and want to start this post to document differences and questions while installing the server.

This server is going to host an already existing friendica node I have to move from another hosting provider. That means that for example the DB doesn't have to be created from scratch but moved and other smaller details.

I will try to address the different steps of installation in answers to this post and appreciate help, ideas and observations.

I'm doing this from a #linux desktop environment from the console but there shouldn't be differences if you want to do this from a #windows machine.

#DIY zawsze na propsie. Temat nie jest łatwy, mamy AC optymistycznie max 6V/3A ale to bardzo optymistycznie.

Był projekt chłopaka, który robił diy ładowarkę + światła, kierunkowskazy, komputerek ;) Projekt nawet miał nową wersję, poprawkową. Też rozkminił podłączenie 2 dynam, ze wszystkimi problemami z tego wynikającymi (AC). Do przyczepki bym zastosował. Ale nie mogę teraz znaleźć... Pogrzebię jeszcze za tym to dam znać, mogę mieć w notatkach na starym laptopie.

Te gotowe z USA i UK są super, ale cena powala. To po prostu nie jest tyle warte.

Ja ostatnio kombinowałem, czy by nie wykorzystać gotowca, niedrogiego, wielofunkcyjnego, który i tak zamierzałem sobie kupić. To jest radio outdoorowe z wymiennym 18650, USB, bluetooth, playerem na kartę sd, ładowarką solarną i dynamem na korbę ręczną właśnie. Czyli prostowanie, buforowanie, ładowanie mamy już zrobione. Gdyby zapiąć się z dynama na to wejście w środku / ominąc korbę i jej prądnicę, to mamy wszystko gotowe.
To chińszczyzna, ale ma szansę zadziałać. A badziewny 18650 chin wymienić należy na jakiegoś koreańczyka LG/Samsung. No i na dłuższą traskę można zabrać liionków 18650 kilka i wymienić w razie braku ładowania (lubię urządzenia z wymiennymi 18650, bo są lekkie bez aku. A aku mogę zabrać ile chcę i ładować np litookalą.
Kosztuje koło stówki, choć widziałem, że lata też po 88zł jak w euro.

Jak mi ktoś zasponsoruje i przyśle, to mogę rozgrzebać, podpiąć i sprawdzić, czy to zadziała ;)
