Look's like that's right here and now a good #bugReport for the @Friendica Developers and/or @Tusky.

Adding details:
The kernel panic by #tusky was probably because of the neat beauty of the UI and was mentioned by JB who apparently runs dev version 2025.02 on ubuntu 2020.lts at the time.
(btw 2024.04lts still is somehow a mess, looks like never update to stable but only to old stable for a serious working environment)

The original post was send actually from friendica 2023.05 and forum.friendi.ca is on stable 2024.12.
As of now no idea if @Steffen K9 🐰 ( oh there he is!) is available. He might be the one to delete on the helpers profile itself.

Over here the comments were deleted in the moment, so in any case, as the original link points to over here, there is also some harm reduction and some moderation capability already in the setup.

Actually the biggest problem seems to be that the answers do still show up on mastodon.
Looks like for mastodon the owner is the helpers page and not you or the profile over here.

Ich hatte ja diverse #Probleme mit hoher #Serverauslastung, die einerseits von activitypub-troll.cf kamen, da ich das nicht von Anfang an geblockt hatte, aber irgendwie auch danach noch immens stieg, sobald ich in meinem Profil aktiv war.

Also habe ich, wie angekündigt, testweise die #Instanz neu aufgesetzt und die Spam-Domains activitypub-troll.cf und gab.best sofort gesperrt.

Dann die #Kontakte denen ich folge neu eingespielt und die #Konfiguration wieder angepasst.

Was soll ich sagen, bislang läuft das extrem schnell und der Server langweilt sich noch bei einer Load von 0,1 während ich das hier schreibe, also im Profil aktiv bin.

Auch die Nutzung meines Accounts in #Apps wie #Felidab oder #Tusky funktioniert wieder tadellos. Das ging in den letzten Tagen ja gar nicht mehr.

Klar, bislang kennt meine Instanz noch wenige andere Knoten (aktuell 438), weshalb ich auch den alten Thread nicht wiederfinde, in dem es um meine zwei (und dann weitere) Probleme ging.

Ich bin mal gespannt, ob das so smooth bleibt, wenn meine Instanz alle anderen Knoten kennt, aber ich kann mich des Eindrucks nicht erwehren, dass die Probleme angefangen haben, als ich die #Datenbank gebackupt und dann in eine neue Datenbank eingespielt und mit dieser dann die Instanz weiter betrieben habe. Hier konnte ich die virtuellen Tabellen (alles mit view) nicht zurückspielen. Das führte immer zum Abbruch.

Zwar habe ich die dann über die Friendica-Konsole wieder angelegt, aber imho lief es ab da nicht mehr rund.

So richtig schlimm wurde es dann, als ich vom schwachen Webspace auf den neuen #vServer umgezogen bin, also nochmal die Datenbank dumpen und auf dem neuen Server einspielen musste.

Neben der hohen Serverload und dass die Instanz nicht mehr in einer App nutzbar war, hatte ich ja auch das Problem, dass immer wieder Emojis, insbesondere, wenn User diese in ihren Anzeigenamen verwursteln, als Fragezeichen dargestellt wurden. Bislang habe ich auch das noch nicht wieder gesehen.

Irgendwie habe ich den Verdacht, die Friendica-Datenbank zickt, sobald man sie neu einspielen muss 🤷‍♂️

Jedenfalls hoffe ich sehr, dass die Performance und die Serverload so bleibt wie jetzt, und auch die anderen Probleme nicht wiederkommen.
