!Friendica Support Not sure if I'm missing the obvious: For the Friendica - Twitter - Crossposter, is there any way to crosspost reshared (ActivityPub, Diaspora) posts to there too? So far this doesn't seem to be working but I also didn't manage to find an option to explicitely enable that.

Reshares are always native to their origin protocols. So the simple answer is: No, they aren't published on Twitter.

@Michael Vogel Ok, thanks. Just for understanding: Is there a reason why it is this way? It feels a bit odd at least from my perspective so I'd like to understand what I'm missing here. 🙂️

The visual experience of these "faked reshares" is simply ugly, I think.

@Michael Vogel Hmm ok, got that. Was looking at it from a different angle: One of Friendicas strengths is keeping people "linked" regardless on which network they are. From that perspective, transparently pushing most communications to as many different networks as possible/connected (thus making it irrelevant which network a contact actually is on) would seem just "logical". Same for Diaspora, but I know this doesn't work too well for technical reasons.

I think you have to quote-reshare the posting and then set the option in the options, that the posting should also be send over to Twitter.

@Tobias Ah ok, thanks. Yes, indeed, that works. Seems at least a workaround (even though not available while interacting with Friendica using a client like #tusky or #fedilab).
