Die #Friendica-#API liefert gern 200.000 Zeichen als Maximallänge zurück... wenn das codeseitig geprüft wird, könnte die Begrenzung vor den rund 16 Megs zuschlagen...

Es wäre durchaus denkbar, daß eine App eigene lokale Funktionalität einführt.

#Tusky bietet hier allerdings wirklich eine #API-Funktion einer #Mastodon-Instanz.

The process requires multiple steps.
E.g. registering an application.
E.g. authorizing an user.

And no, you don't use an user name or password with the #API.
Tokens are used.

I couldn't find any implementation info on Twitter's API "cursoring" pagination system. I'd like to replicate it for #Friendica 's #API since we emulate their API, but so far I only have the "next_cursor" feature, no idea how to compute the "previous_cursor" value.

I'm looking for either a high-level explanation of this system that doesn't seem to rely on the usual "max_id"/'since_id" boundaries, or an actual implementation of it.
