Hide connector messages?

Hello !Friendica Support ,

is there an option to hide these connector messages from the conversation tree? I have sometimes added tags and surely these messages are required to make but normally they can be hidden because nobody else except the adding account sees them.

I don't want them generally hidden, only as an option in personal settings.

!Friendica Support Stumbled over this #Tusky issue https://github.com/tuskyapp/Tusky/issues/2628

Does #Friendica support Push Notifications? And if yes, should those also work via #MastodonAPI?

another thing I love about #friendica is the ability to filter posts by protocol, which can help that.

!Friendica Support many websites, like indiatimes.com use an embedded Facebook plugin to allow user comments. Is there an equivalent for #Friendica or some other fediverse protocol that could be used as a replacement?

how does it effect what I or others, particuarly outside #Friendica, see

In nothing. It's just what you see, an option to express a "dislike".
In general there is no algorythm sorting your stream out here.

!Friendica Support how does the DISLIKE button work? Is it just humorous for me? If not what other feedback is received, how does it effect what I or others, particuarly outside #Friendica, see?

Hallo !Friendica Support,

After the last git pull I noticed that apparently the configuration setting Maximum number of workers running in parallel is no longer respected. htop just showed me twice as many running workers than there should be.

Hello !Friendica Support
Adding new RSS feeds in #Friendica seems broken in the current stable version, is it?

It just warns me that the account is somewhat limited and can not receive DM or so. But it does not add it. 😔

#Friendica backfills pinned statuses during contact poll, but no other posts.

@utzer ~Friendica~ Yeah, I thought about the "Protocols" approach too but it has the two limitations that (a) pixelfed is "just" ActivityPub and (b) Mastodon clients like #tusky or #fedilab are able to work with groups (which are lists in this context) but has no understanding of #friendica specialties. Maybe I'll write an issue for that then, thanks.

@Kristian maybe that is worth a request on Github, maybe is makes more sense to have this filter instead of the filter for "Protocols" with the selection like this:
All protocols
ActivityPub
DFRN
diaspora*
RSS/Atom
OStatus
Twitter

This is from ancient times when there was no other then GnuSocial, Diaspora and #Friendica I think.

!Friendica Support I do follow a bunch of different users from all over the #fediverse. For now, I'd like to have all people on pixelfed in a "pixelfed" group to quickly browse through new images. Is there a _fast_ way to add many users, filtered by string or domain, to a particular group in #friendica? So far, generally, managing contacts in groups seems to depend on the particular Friendica theme used (some are clumsy or slow, some simply don't show where a user comes from), but I have yet to find a real "batch" mode for that.

@Thomas hmm kann man da was filtern?

!Friendica Admins I've written a comprehensive soup to nuts style Tutorial for setting up a production (rather than just for development) Friendica server. It's long but has a Table of Contents so you can skip to the part you are interested in #friendica #fediverse #documentation https://nequalsonelifestyle.com/2022/07/30/creating-friendica-server-ubuntu/

Hello !Friendica Support
apparently I got 258 notifications, notifications only shown in /delegation. What is the URL to mark all of these read? I am tired of clicking on each notification in /notifications/system one by one.

#Friendica

@Kristian@dansup@Matthias/E@utzer ~Pixelfed~ hmm yeah, I also can just see the sunflower as the first photo over @utzer ~Pixelfed~, but maybe it just did not end up on the server.
You should see all photo posts if you follow your #Friendica account I assume, but it seems that is also not 100% sure.
So maybe there is more to it that Pixelfed needs to display a post? What does @pixelfed need in order to show posts?

!Friendica Support Apparently, people following my loma.ml #friendica account from pixelfed.social (#pixelfed) don't see recent posts of mine. Who to talk to to learn why? @Matthias/E ? @dansup ?

!Friendica Support Is there a way to get browser-based "desktop notifications" to work in #friendica , same as it works in Mastodon or Twitter? On Android, it _seems_ I can enable or disable notifications for my instance URL in the browser settings, and in Friendica settings, I can enable / disable desktop notifications - but even both being enabled, so far I never _saw_ any notifications...?

@Ji Fu@Fu As far as I know, only #Friendica has the ! which will send your message out to groups/forums only (not to followers). An @ sends it to both.

@fellowship I'm not sure yet...I have no idea how this works. #Friendica isn't something I'm that familiar with

!Friendica Support Although many people here are already aware, I figured I'd post about the existence of a Friendica specific chat room on the Matrix network. Conversations have ranged from qusetions about installations, troubleshooting, and development. #friendica #matrix https://matrix.to/#/#friendi.ca:matrix.org

Hello !Friendica Support,
it seems the maximum number of notifications in #Friendica is 49 and any notification older than the 49 will be omitted.

Hello !Friendica Support,

one of the last pull requests causes a WSoD on the /network page again. The php-log file says this:
PHP Fatal error: Declaration of Friendica\Content\BoundariesPager::getStart() must be compatible with Friendica\Content\Pager::getStart(): int in /src/Content/BoundariesPager.php on line 76

And the friendica log says this:
[ALERT]: Fatal Error (E_COMPILE_ERROR): Declaration of Friendica\Content\BoundariesPager::getStart() must be compatible with Friendica\Content\Pager::getStart(): int {"code":64,"message":"Declaration of Friendica\\Content\\BoundariesPager::getStart() must be compatible with Friendica\\Content\\Pager::getStart(): int","file":"/src/Content/BoundariesPager.php","line":76,"trace":null} - {"file":null,"line":null,"function":null,"uid":"4e396e","process_id":25063}

Cross-posting images Friendica/Twitter

Hi, my #Friendica node (https://mexico-pensante.blog) is working and (very slowly) growing 😀

Cross-posting to #Twitter is still important for me because I have ~500 #followers there.

However, if I send #posts with #images to Friendica and Twitter, the Twitter version does not display the image; just the link. Obviously, that's a problem for getting #attention. As a consequence, I post on #TweetDeck and then channel it to Friendica. But I want to forget about logging into Twitter...

Any hint, on how to embed images in Friendica posts for #crossposting to Twitter?

Hello !Friendica Support
is there a way to hide certain tags from the public/local community page, same like hiding of posts from specific accounts?
Is there a way to hide tags from the "Trending tags (last 24 hours)" field?

Both server wide or user solutions are fine, the first one would be preferred.

For my #hugo theme's social media bar I wanted to add monochrome #fediverse icons. I didn't find a good central place for them so I created one here. I'd be more than happy to add ones that I've missed but so far have #diaspora #mastodon #friendica #funkwhale #gnusocial #Hubzilla #misskey #Peertube #pixelfed #pleroma #SocialHome #foss #opensource #creativecommons https://gitlab.com/HankG/fediverse-icons

Gibt es bei #Friendica die Möglichkeit geteilte Beiträge auszublenden? Also so, dass nur selbst erstellte Beiträge angezeigt werden?
