Génial 🤣

Là tu peux mettre le #humanArt
(et préciser que cette erreur là est parfaitement humaine ^^)

Thanks to all of you who took part in my poll. So I have made my decision: I will no longer hashtag my art with #HumanArt, #HumanMade or #NoAI.

I've blogged about why this happened:
https://www.davidrevoy.com/article977/artificial-inteligence-why-i-ll-not-hashtag-my-art-humanart-humanmade-or-noai

Thank you for making me change my mind.

A quick painting of Pepper at home sitting on a chair. Around her, the room is in fire. She looks like she realize something.

This is a parody of the meme "This is fine", a cartoon with a dog by K.C. Green.

#HumanArt sounds more like it would be art depicting humans. Like portraits and so on I guess...

I was wondering, wouldn't using tags like #HumanArt or #NoAi just make it simpler for AI companies to scrape images by hashtag?

Even if you explicitly forbid them from doing so (with those hashtags), I don't think it would make a difference. They haven't really been considerate of these things in the past.

A problem with AI "art" is that using it to feed into datasets essentially deteriorates what an AI image gen is able to produce. Wouldn't those hashtags help AI companies?

I think something like #handmade, which is used for crafts and such, would fit best. I reckon #HandmadeArt would be a good tag. I just feel #HumanMade is a bit too... wide and undefined. Every building is Human-made. And #HumanArt kind of feels.. off for me. I can't define it, it just doesn't sound right!

#HandmadeArt *possibly* cuts into painter territory? But it's not like digital artists don't use their hands to make their art, so I think it's fine ^^

Not sure if I need such distinction.
But if not using isn't an option, then the #HumanArt because it uses the same convention as #AIArt which is already in use.

@SRAZKVT oh wow. Well, the issue then is lack of "report" button on the website. But yeah, then probably #HumanArt is very good.

I'll do signing sessions for my comic books during the festival "Bulles à Croquer" of Saint-Brieuc on the 8 and 9 July. I'm also honored the festival organized a Pepper&Carrot exhibition this year. The entrance is free and you'll find many other authors and activities. I hope I'll meet a lot of you!

A digital painting parody of the poster of the festival: Pepper on the top of an octopus playing tic-tac-toe with him. She is protected by a large bubble of air to breath under water.

Thank you, both (troth?) for the art and for its message and for #humanart.

3 days left before the Pepper&Carrot game jam starts!

It's hosted by @brettmakesgames here:
https://itch.io/jam/pepper-carrot-jam

Good luck to the 17 participants who already joined, and because I cannot wait to see the results, I colored a sketch with Pepper and Carrot playing a 'VS Fighter' (Carrot is clearly winning).

A colored digital sketch of the characters Pepper and Carrot playing video game. Pepper is affraid (she is loosing) while Carrot mashes the controller and is happy. They probably are playing a "VS fighter game".

🌱 My Neighbor Mastodon 2

Thank you, thank you, *thank you* for being more than 20K to follow my art here. It's fantastic.

#Mastoart #ArtWithOpensource #krita #HumanArt
A digital painting illustration being a parody of an iconic scene of the movie "My Neighbor Totoro"; but instead of Totoro it's a big Mastodon, and the two girls are replaced by Pepper and Carrot, the OC of my webcomic. The scene is a large view angle under rain at night on a bus stop, the sign has '20K' written on it and a sticker of a red heart symbol on the corner. Pepper has Carrot sleeping on her back, she is under an umbrella, waiting for the bus. She looks on her side, amused, and discover a large cartoony mastodon also waiting for the bus, and covered only with a large leaf on his head. He looks at her as if he was suprised she noticed him and even blushes a bit.

You have made my day posting this. I'm now completely devoted to Pepper and Carrot and am sharing it with my friends! THANK YOU! David Revoy: THANK YOU FOR THIS MAGIC COMIC! ❤ Hope you get a bunch of Patreon folks from this toot. #WebComic #fantasy #witch #FantasyArt #HumanArt #comic #art #cat

I just discovered Pepper & Carrot web comic by David Revoy @davidrevoy, about a young witch and her cat companion. 😍 I love her cottage: pretty much the perfect abode, in my opinion! #art #comic #WebComic #fantasy #witch #FantasyArt #HumanArt

A nice anime-style illustration in earth-hued pastels of an eccentric, rustic, rickety Cotswald-style two-story cottage made of wood and stone with shingled dormers and different styles of old fashioned bay windows, gables, a hay roof and central chimney. Rainbow colored smoke rings emit from a small metal chimney pot. The house is set in a forest, with trees, plants, and roots organically growing in and out of the structure. In front is a mailbox with "33" on it, and sign that says, WARNING WITCH PROPERTY. Very charming.

✨ Happy New Year 2023!
I wish you with this illustration strength and courage against all the "dragons" who might be on your way in 2023. Can you see the numbers in the silhouettes?

A digital painting illustration of a wide angle view on a landscape: a swamp in the mist, a half dead tree in the shape of a 'two' on the left, a arch shaped like '0' crossed by a character on a unicorn (it's Pepper on a donkey with a plunger on his head, carrot, her cat sits in the back), a "2" is a giant black dragon, and the "3" is the tail of the dragon. The whole scene has clear silhouette of "2023".

Recent illustrations I painted for Framasoft, all under free/libre culture license.
Sources and Wallpaper are all available here: https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/files/framasoft.html (and more)

I really love working with them. It's mainly what I do when I'm not working on Pepper&Carrot.

Their yearly funding campaign (at 78% while I'm writing this) ends in less than 10 days, please help them if you can 💜 https://soutenir.framasoft.org (the page is translated)

A digital painting illustration of Framaspace. Over the clouds on a colored space, a little unicorn with a self made astronaut hat made of kitchen ustencils blows bubbles (like a kid would blow soap bubbles), the bubbles grows and are personal space: having icons of home folders, musics, calc files, archives...Etc). In background, thousands of bubbles float in the universe. A digital painting illustration of a large landscape with a village for cat in canyons. They build up giant strawberry and cream cake on top of clouds, or lemon cakes on top of big scafholding. the colors are like candy. A kitten in foreground, reminiscent of the design of the CHATON collective logo is inviting the viewer to discover the project.
A digital painting landscape of a sea-side port of boat at night, the scene is lighted by the video projectors: one is on each boat and project a video on the main wing of each boat. A network of bridges connect them. On the foreground, on the sand and one of these bridges with a red carpet and glowing lights, Sepia, the mascott of Peertube, invite the viewer to join the federation of videos. A digital painting isometric top view of a large and structured vegetable patch guarden. A bit similar than in the collective patch guarden outside of city, runs by association. It's a day of party, and guests sits at a large table in circle around a fire. Ducks delivers Pizzas from a pizza truck, kittens, zebras, gnu, and unicorns (even Sepia the squid) are dinning together.

@lertsenem Seriously yes, I adopted the hashtag #humanart this week. 😐 It feels weird to have to mention that now.
