Das #Fedilab Projekt braucht unsere Hilfe!

I've been working on Fedilab and few other open source projects since around 2017. It was a so good experience, having your feedback and your help. At the time I was financially comfortable and it helped me to spend time to develop useful software. But now, I am unfortunately facing some bad events in life. Each month started to be harder for me. I simply don't know how to ask you to help me financially. I have been accepting donations, but it has been to help the projects, not me personally.
To people that still do not receive push notifications with #Fedilab, please give a try to #SunUp

We recommend this app over NTFY because you won't be rate limited.
It is of course not limited to Fedilab and you can use it with any other apps.

Now we have a wiki for #Fedilab!
We are slowly migrating the existing (and not-so-complete) documentation to the new wiki 😀
If you would like to help by adding/maintaining a wiki page for a feature you like, DM us and we can create a wiki account for you 😀
Here's one of the pages we moved so far:
https://wiki.fedilab.app/wiki/User_Interface
Next month, #Fedilab will be 8 years old. That's somewhat amazing to write that.
The app growed with your help. Most in-app features that we have implemented thanks to your suggestions became available through the Mastodon API.
- Bookmarks, translations, scheduled messages, timed-mute, home muted for lists, etc.
So simply a big thank you for your support and make the app as it is🙏
When visiting a user profile, you will see only messages that are known by your instance.
This can be frustrating especially for small instances.
#Fedilab offers an option at the bottom right, through a magnifying glass button (see the screenshot). By clicking on it, you will be able to see all messages. The app will manage everything for you in background to interact with that messages.
You can of course set that behavior as the default one in Settings > Interface.
Think to long press buttons. It often hides something.
If you use several accounts, just long press buttons under a message, it will allow you to finish the action with another account without switching. Everything is done for you on the background (boost, fav, , bookmark, reply,...)
I've been using the #Fedilab app on Android to reply and change the permissions on the reply, but I've just realized I haven't really tested how the posts are actually permissioned in Friendica.
We introduced pronouns support in #Fedilab recently thanks to a suggestion (https://codeberg.org/tom79/Fedilab/issues/1028)
@megalodon is the first app that worked on it.
We extended that beautiful idea to some views where we thought it could be useful (when replying or when searching for mentions).
We will do our best to contribute with other apps for a kind of normalisation of this feature (especially for the localisation around the English word "pronouns").

Did you know that you can change the default layout of messages in timelines with #Fedilab?
- For more compact messages: Settings>Theming> disable "Elevated cards"
- You can remove the left margin in Settings>Interface
- You can aggregate action icons on the left side. (Same settings: "Compact action buttons")
- You can also display counters, hide/show bookmark and translate buttons at the bottom.
- You can even request a Pixelfed view for messages having media.
Just a reminder that #Fedilab supports #Peertube software for viewers and publishers.
Also, Fedilab allows you to discover Peertube with your Mastodon account. It means you don't need a Peertube account to navigate and interact with Peertube instances.
Fedilab has a dedicated UI for this feature. If you want to know more about it, just click on Peertube in the main menu. You will have a helper to find instances that match your expectations. You will be able to switch between them easily.
Wo muss in welche htacessdatei was rein, damit Friendica funktioniert?
Ich danke Euch für Hilfe.
Review time again! Here's a concise look at the third party app Fedilab:
You can use it with Mastodon accounts (including forks like Glitch), PeerTube accounts, Pixelfed accounts and many other types of Fediverse account.
It's got a really nice array of options if you dig down into the settings menus, it does a lot of things that the official apps don't do. I've tried to summarise the good stuff in the review.

In #Tusky #Fedilab u.a.

For that, just open the main menu and select "Peertube".
You will be able to select an instance with helpers.
Even if you don't have an account, you will be able to interact with your Mastodon account.
And if you like Peertube, you can register with the app thanks to an instance picker.

I'm writing to you from #Colombia, #SouthAmerica. My account is hosted on a server in #Argentina. I'd like to know how, either from #Fedilab on #Android or from a browser on #Windows10, I could follow several tags simultaneously, without having to add them one by one.
I'd also like to know how to use #Friendica as my "main network", so that when I post on #Friendica, the post is also done automatically on #Mastodon and #Diaspora*.
Thank you very much.
I don't use push notifications.
Have installed #Tusky, #Fedilab, ...
Afaik this just effects, how fast you will get notifications about... notifications... 😉 ... so e.g. someone mentioned you.
Mostly using #Mastodon (and #Mammuthus), i have to admit, but also installed a #Friendica instance once... 😉
The latest version of the app has an setting to require alternate text before making a post. A great reminder for users sharing images on Mastodon, Pixelfed, or Friendica servers.
I hope all Fedilab users turn the setting on, so everyone can benefit from your pictures!

- Quoting support with the API
- Display the context of replies in timelines.
There are also fixes for DMs and Block.

This fixes #12672 and fixes #12654 and partly covers #12603 as well. Also it fixes #12358GitHub
So: This is something a client can/should do, not a server software (like Friendica) imho.
Now the pinned timeline will display all messages having these tags.
You can also exclude tags. #FedilabTips
when I click a #Fediverse post link in #Firefox it opens in @Fedilab Apps, but it only works to load the post if a Mastodon account is selected and not if a Friendica account is active.
How can we trouble shoot this? @Fedilab Apps what does #Fedilab do with such a link, which API call does it perform to retrieve the post?
Where can we find common API endpoints and specific API documentation?
We would like to support some custom features with #Fedilab
We created that thread. Your help is welcome. Thank you.
