found yet another entire instance devoted to generative theft, for those who don't want grifters in their timelines, here's the instance to block

aipub.social

#fediblock #downwithAI

i quickly checked and the info here is accurate, it seems. another reason to defederate from threads and #fediblock those who do
cropped twitter screenshot (maybe bluesky or threads actually, i don't know). anyway user zayshad is quoting user tonyserrata

tonyserrata says:
you're not wrong to. not with this guy employed by meta and likely driving many of the reasons we'll get silenced here. dude literally wrote the intelligence section of project 2025 (tony misspelled it though)
included is a picture of dustin overlaid on top of the meta office

zayshad comments:
his name is dustin carmack. he wrote a chapter of project 2025. he is now meta's public policy director. the summary below fails to mention that he will be in charge of threads' public policy, too. get familiar with this name, and remember it when you hear it again

"LIke spam" and (nearly) empty profile

As I said earlier, I very rarely recommend #FediBlock distinct accounts, not for a different view on things (that would be personal) but for malicious behavior, like spammers do.

Here is the account, I recommend considering blocking:
emilyii99@diaspora-fr.org

The account itself has only an avatar image and #watch #my #secret #video written as a profile bio. That is very typical for spammers. Also it doesn't post or comment anything.

Here is a screenshot:

EDIT: Looks like her real name is Jessica Albos: https://tineye.com/search/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdiaspora-fr.org%2Fuploads%2Fimages%2Fthumb_large_e7ffd6d0337de9a00644.webp

This is typical for "nude avatar spammers", who grab a model's or leaked pictures of an attractive looking woman and then abuse it for attracting clicks to them. The last step doesn't actively happen here, but her watch my secret video should lure horny young men to her profile outside Diaspora.

Dear @Gargron,

A fediverse server called Threads is violating mastodon.social’s second server rule:

“2. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia…
Transphobic behavior such as intentional misgendering and deadnaming is strictly prohibited.”

https://glaad.org/smsi/report-meta-fails-to-moderate-extreme-anti-trans-hate-across-facebook-instagram-and-threads/

Can you please defederate from this server to protect the trans people on mastodon.social?

Thank you.

PS. It’s run by these guys: https://techcrunch.com/2024/03/26/facebook-secret-project-snooped-snapchat-user-traffic/

Stop Using Threads consumes a list of users and tells you which of those users interact with Threads. You can use it to remove Threads participants from your timeline.

You can find out the tool's opinion on you by entering your own name, or you can just Submit with default settings to find out about Gargron.

https://stop-using-threads.net/

Data practices, anti-abuse and opt-in/out are behind the link. If you didn't opt into search, you're not visible here either.

These users have connected themselves to Zuck in some way.

@Gargron@mastodon.social (user follows christophersu@threads.net) (refresh)

I'm still investigating a few users, such as:

@pyrex@dragon.style

English translation from ad12's account:
(top post)

Some people say I'm going against the law but I'm under the age of 14 so I am protected by the Juvenile Act and I don't think spamming is illegal in the first place.

(bottom post)

The person who spams is me.
It has nothing to do with the person who did the crime advance notice.
Just to clarify.

A little-advertised bridge just appeared between the Fediverse and Twitter founder Dorsey's new social network. It intends to bridge accounts that don't opt out.

Doing this as opt out is a pretty immoral thing to do. Also unclear how legal opt-out bridges are in some countries. The bridge is using these domains:

snarfed.org
brid.gy

Server admins may want to defederate these to prevent their members being bridged without their knowledge or permission.

#fediblock privex.social - corpo account advertising their free speech instance + hosting services
reply from privex@privex.social: @maia I hope users on that instance see this, that instances admins/mods must be getting power hungry

Shameless plug - but if you use our instance at privex.social - we only moderate extremely illegal content and direct harassment (going directly to someone’s posts and making their life hell)

Falls es euch interessiert... der Schwurblerkönig Reitschuster ist mit einer neuen Instanz im Fediverse.

Damit ist meine Server-Blockierliste um einen Eintrag reicher.

#FediBlock perfect_brains@social.freetalklive.com for white supremacy, advocating violence against woke people (no matter what it means to them), defending colonization by reducing American indigenous people to white people with worse technology.

How is @alex on the #Fediblock list? Promoting blind censorship through universal block lists is more hateful and fascist than any of the people they are speaking out against.

Shitposters are among the most marginalized and disenfranchised group on the internet. Their rights have to be protected.

The fragile and childish users of Mastodon will finally be able to enter the soft embrace of a real world stuffed elephant to remind them of the cozy feeling they get inside whenever they #fediblock doing the dishes for the eighth day in a row.

We're going to make a #Mastodon plushie and it's going to be very cute! I'll share more details once the prototype is done—the concept art is very promising and our partners at FRESH have a good track record of making plushies 🙂

Great, this shit started federating on ActivityPub

#FediBlock wolfgirl.bar for racism, anti-semitism and, if it wasn’t enough, all-capsing in other people’s threads.

#FediBlock azurecerulean@tech.lgbt and AzureCerulean@bears.town

I've always been reluctant to use this tag for specific people, but the personally witnessed behavior of the person behind these two accounts has been so egregious I believe it's warranted.

They posted an unwarranted response on one of my friend's post complaining about unwarranted responses, and when called out tried to defend themselves on technicality and reversing the charge. When they were notified that they were blocked, they used a second account of theirs to post another unwarranted reply on another post by my friend.

The ultimate reply guy, if you will. I recommend preventively blocking them as they don't have anything meaningful to contribute to any of your conversations.

Well, that didn't take long. Though threads.net is not yet federating with the wider fediverse, they are currently home to several hate groups such as Libs of Tik Tok and their ilk. We will not federate with any instance that knowingly chooses to house hate speech, so a full defederation of threads.net has been made by blahaj.zone

#fediblock

I did take that screenshot without consent. That was a thing Mastodong was yelling about a long time back, screenshots without consent. I haven't seen anyone talk about that in a while, though.

Admin announcement:
As of today, this instance blocks known domains associated with Meta's #project92, in accordance with the anti-Meta Fedi Pact (https://fedipact.online/)
In effect, this instance does not federate with the domains threads.net or threads.instagram.com. Further associated domains will be blocked, if discovered.

We are not personally against the users of Project 92, we are against Meta. We will not be giving them a chance. Their work is a threat to the Fediverse, as it has been a threat to other social spaces and open communities for years prior. They are not welcome in our homes.
