On of my favorite anecdote : a kid was inside the blockhaus where I have painted a big elephant (7 meter high) and then his father was calling him and he answer “wait dad, I’m inside the elephant, I’m coming !”. Well, it is very rewarding to provoke that kind of poetry, to help kids or people to reconnected themselves with little small thing that make souls and desires happy or filled. – näutil

In their first art intervention in the city of Barcelona,PichiAvohas painted a mural in the facade of the student residence Livensa Living Diagonal Alto of Temprano Capital Partners, designed by the Portuguese architect José Quintela da Fonseca. Isaac Cordal is a sculpture artist from Galicia. His sculptures take the form of little people sculpted from concrete in ‘real’ situations. Cordal manages to capture a lot of emotion in his vignettes, in spite oftheir lack of detail or colour. He is sympathetic toward his little people and we empathise with their situations, their leisure time, their waiting for buses and their more tragic moments such as accidental death, suicide or family funerals.

His sculptures can be found in gutters, on top of buildings, on top of bus shelters – in many unusual and unlikely places in the capital.

In recent years, with the technological era and even more so with the pandemic, the distance from what surrounds us is remarkable. How can we respect and take care of what we do not know and do not have time to contemplate?

Educating for nature, as Rousseau said well, is educating in freedom. We are in error when we take for granted that nature is changing, thinking that it does not matter what we do already. It is a social responsibility to take care of it, because in our small daily gestures the long-term solution can be found.
