Cathedral of Blossom
Took this with my iPhone and did very little work on it. I quite like it; nothing special but a lovely memory, being surrounded by all that blossom. There was actually loads more blossom and blossom trees than you can see in this (thus my calling it a "cathedral", but only a video could show it at its best, and I'd never taken iPhone video before from an almost static position (think wheelchair) and I'm not sure about the results I got.

I took my bike out of the bike parking, and I noticed these forgotten bike keys hanging from a branch of a tree. It had just rained, there were a couple of drops in the keys... It all suddenly seemed very beautiful, very Amsterdam... So I snapped a picture. I'm no photographer, but I think I captured what I saw at the moment.

Bei mir läuft das jetzt alles wesentlich schneller. Also so schnell, dass ich die Verzögerung nicht mitmessen kann. :) Aber ich bemerke sie beim Tippen noch.
Wenn ich schneller tippe als die Auswahlliste angezeigt wird, dann "läuft sie nach", ich bekomme dann also mehrere Auswahllisten angezeigt bis sie meine Tipperei eingholt hat.
Ich tippe also z.B. #photography in einen Zug und bekomme dann drei Auswahllisten angezeigt, eine mit ph am Anfang, eine mit ph 24 anderem und dann nochmal nur photography. Wenn ich weitere schreibe, laufen erst die Listen gemütlich durch, bis mein Text angezeigt wird.
... und wenn ich dann nicht irgendwann warte, muss ich nachher meine Tippfehler korrigieren. ;)
!Friendica Support I also sometimes don't see pictures in posts, both from friendica and from mastodon. I do see them if I open the link to the original post.
I'm not sure but if I view the image on the original platform (mastodon/disapora), then it seems to be loading on friendica too. Can't reproduce consistently though, so I'm not sure

'Fire rainbow' over Lake Sammamish, Washington

Fire rainbows aren’t actually rainbows and they have nothing to do with fire, either. Technically known as circumhorizontal arcs, these optical phenomena occur when the sun is higher than 58° in the sky. The other ingredient forming these arcs are cirrus clouds, which are thin, feathery clouds occurring at higher altitudes. The temperature where these clouds exist is low; therefore, they are made of hexagonal ice crystals. When optimally aligned, these crystals act as a prism and that results in refraction that is reminiscent of a rainbow.
