Die Demonstranten feiern Direniş oder auch Kahraman (Held) oder einfach „Köpek“ (Hund) – anscheinend hat er unzählige weitere Namen, weil jeder ihn anders nennt. Sie rufen: „Havla, havla, havlamayan Tayyipçi!“ – auf Deutsch: „Bell, bell! Wer nicht bellt, ist ein Erdogan-Anhänger!“ Eine humorvolle, aber auch tiefpolitische Parole, die zeigt, dass in Istanbul nicht nur Menschen, sondern auch Hunde klare Zeichen setzen können.
