A shadowy figure lurks in the darkness, behind the logo of Tales from Wyrd Scotland podcast.

Among the Fields of Gold.....Harvest time

I am really pleased with this photo. Straight off the camera and it looks SO WEIRD. So many questions. Why such a HUGE arched bridge over what appears to be such a small distance? Why only one solitary pedestrian using it? Where are they going? Where have they been?

I love it.

#photography #Scotland #bridge

A landscape photo of a wide road bridge (two lanes of road and a pedestrian path each side) in a high arch, taken looking up the steep slope. It is surrounded by green trees, with no sight of what it is crossing, but there is a large stretch of water beyond the land. On the right are two small white buildings, half hidden by trees. There is a single figure walking down the steep slope towards us. They carry a large, light blue bag. The rest of the bridge is empty.

Heading off for the evening, and leaving you with one of the most Scottish photos I have, to compensate for having had a bit of a moan and spread my annoyance around earlier.

Have the best of cows standing in front of our biggest mountain, with sun shining while the rain hammers down.

Scotland is ace.

'night!

A square photo. At the bottom, facing the camera, stands a red-brown Highland Cow with huge upturned horns on a hillock of green grass. In the background is a mountainside, sunlit and covered with autumnal trees and ferns. A faint rainbow curves in front of the mountain. The sky above is grey.

A small Victorian dairy farm on the estate of Keir House, Bridge of Allan.

Animal pens line either side of the room, feeding buckets used to occupy the square windows on their doors. A small tree striving in an old cattle shed. Rooted into the concrete and enough gaps to provide daylight.
A floor level window highlights the cracked plaster, an open door leads on to a gutted bathroom. The courtyard of the farm, bare trees are encircled by crumbling walls and animal sheds.

The golden light of the Gloaming brings nostalgia and peace at the end of the day.
