@eclectech One of our goals for our upcoming Scotland jaunt is to catch a glimpse of a Highland cow!
They are the best of coos! Whereabouts are you heading? If you’re going anywhere near Glen Nevis / Fort William there is an excellent herd there.

@eclectech I asked earlier on here, even tagged you and you didn’t reply (it’s ok), so we went for the most obvious tour we could cram in 4 days: Glasgow - Inverness - Skye - Glasgow.

Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll look it up!

Oh I can't see that in my notifications 😕

If you're traveling by train or car your route from Skye to Glasgow is sure to take you through Fort William, and basically Glen Nevis is accessed from the town. It's gorgeous and you have a really good chance of seeing Highland Cows in the glen.

Edit: This is one of them!

Heading off for the evening, and leaving you with one of the most Scottish photos I have, to compensate for having had a bit of a moan and spread my annoyance around earlier.

Have the best of cows standing in front of our biggest mountain, with sun shining while the rain hammers down.

Scotland is ace.

'night!

A square photo. At the bottom, facing the camera, stands a red-brown Highland Cow with huge upturned horns on a hillock of green grass. In the background is a mountainside, sunlit and covered with autumnal trees and ferns. A faint rainbow curves in front of the mountain. The sky above is grey.

Also that's a pretty good loop and you should have a good chance of seeing much loveliness (there's a good reliable spot for dolphins not far from Inverness if that's of interest too).
@eclectech We were trying straight for Nessie 👀
