I rode the Mount Washington Cog Railway in the state of New Hampshire, USA today.

This astonishing little train is capable to climb grades up to 37% (20 degrees) at speeds up to 5 mph (8 km/h) to Mt. Washington summit and back since 1866.

Rainy Day on Lispach Lake / Journée pluvieuse sur le Lac de Lispach / Regentag am Lispach See


Lispach Lake is a small glacial lake located at an altitude of 900 m. It is partly covered by a peat bog, housing a particular fauna and flora due to the harsh and humid climatic conditions as well as the acidic environment. There is a small dam that was used to feed weaving factory and sawmills.
