Bitte nicht als Angriff auf irgendwen hier verstehen - das Problem ist IMHO klar die fehlende Implementierung bei #Diaspora. Und #Friendica hÀngt da dran, weil es auch das Diaspora-Protokoll spricht.
Ich bin halt frustriert, weil ich eine fatale Entwicklung sehe, aber kaum etwas daran Àndern kann. Das Fediverse zerbricht zunehmend, zumindest wird Diaspora abgehÀngt. Und da sind so viele gute Leute aktiv.

Yesterday when I tried to change my mailadresse for several forum accounts on one server it was NOT working on my server with the latest stable release, but it worked on the one with the current developer build.
I am not sure if the #Friendica versions matters at all.
What could be the reason? Has it to do with the kind of delegation, I might have the old delegation on one server (same mail and password) and the new delegation via the backend settings.

What is the difference between #Friendica stable and develop regarding imagick?
In develop /tmp fills up within a day, in stable it seems to be fine.
Why do we actually need to process all pictures and especially gif?
So I reshared that post of another account of mine, of @Admin (of friendica.utzer.de)
Now on my server I can see the reshare, but it is shown as being reshared by https://social.yl.ms....
I wonder why it is shown like this. Is it a bug or just an one time glitch?
Now I found a problem, when I am in the network stream or on the profile of a contact (like a just added one), there is a menu on the left which can be opened by tapping on the three dots. The menu then in many cases is longer than what can be shown on the screen. The problem is I can not scroll down in #Chrome, so I can only see the upper part of the menu. It just won't scroll when I push the page up or down with one finger. (normal way to scroll)
Can someone check if the problem is present on their device, if so let me know what system and which browser you use.
Mine is #Android 10 with #Chrome and I am in the current develop version of Friendica, but the problem seems to be there in stable too.

Why not write with emojis again
There is a nice and easy way to enter emojis in a post or comment. All you have to do is enter a colon and type in the English name for the emoji.
For example : :laugh :face :hand :heart :moo :flower :moon usw

Secondly the latest release has made the app very sluggish. Is there some settings that needs to be changed in #mysql while installation?

Did anyone work on the #Frio theme of #Friendica and changed the red color for the number of unread messages/events and such?
It looks different since 2 days or so and I wonder if that was due to a change or is due to something strange my Firefox is doing? It is still red, but different.

wiki.friendi.ca now got a WYSIWYG editor (link to plugin). Please let me know if there is any problems with the editor.
It can be deactivated by the user, but seems to be default. So please don't hit me if you love wiki syntax so much, just switch the WYSIWYG editor off.
When you now start editing a page it will look like this:
When you click the marked button you will get back to the page view, i.e. this:
If you then edit the page again you'll have back the much loved wiki syntax editor, i.e. this:
If you want to switch again you can click the red marked button again, see above.
I hope that this will help the average Joe to edit/create a page, so it hopefully lowers the entry threshold.
Please share this information/post along so it reaches the users who like the code editor more. đ
I am not sure if this works for very complex wiki pages, it sounds pretty well and should support all the syntax, but please keep an eye on the formatting and such when you use the editor.

Now that we can see if someone reshared a post of ours, can we link that reshare mark to the reshared post instead of linking it to the resharer? Or will we implement notifications of replies to reshares soon as well?
Idea: My main concern is to be able to find the reshare and the comments it got.

Problem, the latest local posts that I can see are from 2019, about one year ago. I would like to know if there is a problem of some sort. I think the account has newer posts one from January and a boot from September at least.

Is there a setting to improve thread completion, so that #Mastodon threads are completed when commented on or liked? I see sometimes there is some replied missing locally.
mir fÀllt gerade auf, dass anscheinend die Suchfunktion kaputt ist.
Wenn ich z.B. in der Suchmaske "Friendica" eingebe, werden mir keine Suchergebnisse angezeigt. Bei dem Suchbegriff "Linux" ist es das gleiche. Es scheint so zu sein, dass kein Suchbegriff gefunden wird. Das gleiche auch wenn ich nach Tags suche, also z.B. #Friendica oder #Linux.
Folgende Eckdaten fĂŒr meine Instanz:
- Friendica 'Red Hot Poker' 2020.12-dev - 1368
- Theme "Frio"
Sollten noch weitere Infos nötig sein, trage ich diese gerne nach.

Delayed scrolling in Vivaldi
Does someone use the #Vivaldi browser to surf in Friendica?
For me, #Friendica jerks a lot when I scroll in Vivaldi. It even happens that the timeline gets stuck.
The Friendica Timeline can be scrolled very well with #Firefox.
Can anyone confirm that?
