Back in the eighties Peter and I could work together with Théo Kerg, installing the blue Dickglasfenster (thick glass windows) in the south wall of Steinmühle... it was an exciting week with a lot of work and a strict Théo. As a gift he gave me these two painting which are now in Andrea's living room... the third one I gave to Katharina.
Both paintings are impressions of the sea which Théo Kerg loved a lot.
Koala bids for the afterhours, koala bids in the evening, a eucalyptus assortment, in eucalyptus plates a treat, eucalyptus rounding prosperity for a featured evening of destination.
As with most creations - painting, drawing, writing, poetry nothing is ever finished, but abandoned. This one's time has come...maybe...maybe a touch here or there...or...maybe not....

(texte du cartel de l’exposition) In the 1920s Emilie Charmy realized extraordinary female nudes, celebrated by the writers of the time. Colette wrote about Charmy that she was a "masterful servant of a feminine flesh", with a "subtle brush, without artifice and guided by a lucid passion". The painter was inspired here by a photo of the one who was her friend and her lover. (text from the exhibition’s cartel)
When I contemplate this painting of Monet, I do not need the methods of meditation, relaxation or yoga that come from Asia. Impressionism is my Asian medicine. Other western paintings do the same to me. It would take too long to write the list.
