We fixed issues due to new changes with #Fedilab.
We hope, you will appreciate the new UI, though it represents a high change and restrictions.

Before the next production release, we would like to exploit the ability of public API calls to make you discover more from other instances that are not known by your instance.

You will be able to interact like if messages or accounts were known by your instance when it's not the case.

We published the fix in #Fedilab 3.9.4

Changed:
- Remove card presentation
- Link color for black theme

Fixed:
- Crash when changing the theme

When viewing a message, you don't always see all replies because your instance is not aware of them.
Would you like a feature that allows to display all public replies and let you interact? #Fedilab

The new design of #Fedilab is in beta to get your feedback and improve it before the prod release.
Think to share your feedback on our repo. Thank you. https://codeberg.org/tom79/Fedilab/issues

#SERVICETOOT:
In the Android App #FediLab you can read your Twitter followings (that have not yet moved here) by adding their names in the timeline option:
- open left panel where options and profile are
- Reorder Timeline
- add usernames on +
- choose Nitter (last point)

For people that don't know where they can see their bookmarks and some other things with #Fedilab. We have hidden them in the "Interactions" item from main menu.
#FedilabTips

- Muted users
- Blocked users
- Bookmarks
- Favourites
- Blocked domains.

To #Pixelfed users. We will improve your experience with #Fedilab by making your timelines as art timelines by default.

Have you tried the button on profiles that allows to display all messages from accounts? #Fedilab

With the next release of #Fedilab, you will be able to "mute" tags by using filters.

You just have to long press the tag and confirm. Everything is automatically done for you in background.

You will be also able to mute when displaying a tag timeline.

It is synced with your Mastodon instance, so it will work with other apps supporting filters.

A tag has been long pressed in a timeline. A confirmation dialog is displayed. The filter now has the muted hashtag.
"Fedilab muted hashtags" filter has been automatically created. You will be also able to mute tags when displaying them (thanks to the top right mute button).

Since #Fedilab 3, #Peertube is no longer supported with the app.
If you want to use your Peertube account, you have to use our dedicated app #TubeLab.

We will work to fix current bugs and bring new features.

The message about shortened URLs from @feditips makes us think to a #Fedilab feature.

Did you know that by long pressing links with the app you can get details and even check redirects.

If you want to use moderation features with #Fedilab, you have to follow this step.

To make things clearer with #Fedilab, there are two ways to manage tags.

- You can pin the timeline. This is an in-app feature. This feature allows to customize timelines. You have to click on the "+" button.

- You can follow tags. This is a #Mastodon 4 feature. You will get messages containing the tag in your home timeline even if you don't follow the account.

There are two buttons.
The "+" button allows to pin the tag on Fedilab.
The other allows to follow the tag. It's a Mastodon feature.

To people that wonder how to unpin a tag or a followed instance with #Fedilab. Here is how to do that:

WeiรŸ da denn niemand, wo ich anfangen kรถnnte, um dich noch #Tusky oder #Fedilab nutzen zu kรถnnen? Alle schrieben immer, dass es bei ihnen geht. Ich werden nach dem Login auf meiner Instanz mit Fehlermeldung zurรผck in die Loginoberflรคche der App geworfen (siehe screenshot). In den Friendica-Accounteinstellungen unter "Verbundene Programme" tauchen sie รผbrigens auf.

Your instance was upgraded to #Mastodon 4?
Great, let's you introduce "follow tags" feature with #Fedilab.

Please, read descriptions in media.
In main menu, we added an item "Followed tags" that allows to quickly manage them. In a timeline tag, you will see two icons.
One to follow the tag and another one to pin the timeline (+).
Icons are only displayed if the action is possible (ie: you don't already follow or pin the timeline).
You will see the list of followed tags.
Clicking on an item will display the timeline for that tag and at the top right you will be able to unfollow them.

!Friendica Support Weird as it is, now with Mastodon 4 supporting things such as editing posts and subscribing to tags, the corresponding features find their way into Mastodon client apps (most prominently #fedilab which in 3.7.0 supports at least hashtag subscriptions) too. Are there any plans to make #Friendica Mastodon API client implementation aware of / able to work with that...? Worth writing issues for that right now?
(Talking open standards and #fediverse and all, it really would be great to see a platform-independent portable client API here too; at the moment it seems whenever #Mastodon releases new features and the clients follow up, it causes confusion or "breakages" elsewhere...)

#Fedilab 3.7.0 has been published for all.

Added:
- Follow tags (dedicated entry in menu)
- Reduce the list of languages when composing (Settings > Compose)
- Language indicator when composing
- Replies are automatically set to first message language
- Two new Light themes
- More moderation features
- List name can be edited

Fixed:
- Filter not working
- Crash with trends
- Issue with themes
- Some content lost when sending messages (mentions)
- Fix freezes in timelines
- Some other fixes

@roland@xy anzumelden und es kommt eine Fehlermeldung nach dem ok auf โ€œVerbindung autorisierenโ€ kann #fedilab nicht mit #Friendica? Was gรคbe es fรผr gute Erfahrungen mit anderen Android Apps?

@Tio
I'm currently using #Fedilab (https://fedilab.app). It has its issues, but the developer is interested in improving Friendica support, so you can report bugs and they're quick to fix it.

Yeah...

Perhaps you can explain a bit Alex?

Last I checked, it was a #SoapBox frontend (pretty fricken' kewl), but no web access (WTF is sup wit dat, bitches?), And so I was unable to create an account.

And although there was an #Apple ๐ŸŽ app, no such #Android beast.

Is that correct? And what kind of goofy logic is that where you can only access the site if you have an #iPhone?

I suppose i would have tried to use #Fedilab, i would suppose, but you need to already have an account to do that.

I know I'm not "missing out" on anything, but What am I missing here?

@Tobias Ah ok, thanks. Yes, indeed, that works. Seems at least a workaround (even though not available while interacting with Friendica using a client like #tusky or #fedilab).

!Friendica Support Does Friendica support image descriptions? Tried to add those while posting images through #Fedilab ; while I can enter some text describing images, this text seems lost after posting.

@utzer ~Friendica~ Yeah, I thought about the "Protocols" approach too but it has the two limitations that (a) pixelfed is "just" ActivityPub and (b) Mastodon clients like #tusky or #fedilab are able to work with groups (which are lists in this context) but has no understanding of #friendica specialties. Maybe I'll write an issue for that then, thanks.
