I think this might be my first poll.

Since my professional life has been cyclically divided between audio/music and web design/dev, I've decided last year to split my website in two, one for each interest.

I've since switched both to the same theme and structure.

#AskFedi is there a contemporary suite or set of plays-nice #opensource community / collaboration tools that can cover discussion (threaded boards), chat, and wiki-like that can share credentials and/or work from a single auth provider, either one of the three or an external auth source? Paid/managed preferred. #ActivityPub aware preferred.

I'm tempted to consider a Wordpress kludge extraordinaire.

Would need to cover say 1,000 accounts, mostly public, some staff.

Friendica (https://friendi.ca) needs developers to help on the frontend, between the server-side PHP modules and views and the client-side HTML/CSS/Javascript aspect.

(It would also be nice if they ran their own Friendica node to help with testing.)

I have an #AskFedi question!

I have been using my phone (on t-mobile) as a hotspot to connect my laptop to the internet. How is it assigning IP addresses to my computer? Are they IP addresses that are owned by t-mobile? Are the ones they give me to use shared with other people that use t-mobile? Are they reusing a pool of the same ones access all their subscribers? Or am I misunderstanding how IP addressing is working in this context.

Is anyone aware of a #FLOSS alternative to #Google #Photos for mobile? What I'm looking for is a way to access the photos from the collection on my home server from a phone with a reasonably convenient interface and such.

Corrolary: I currently use #Digikam to organize my photos, but something with facial recognition that isn't terrible would be nice.

An appeal for help:

Trunk is an opt-in directory of people on Mastodon and the Fediverse looking for followers, organised into a large range of topics:

Anyone can ask to be added, and the admins of Trunk check the account (to screen out spam etc) and add them.

However, due to the need to check the contents of accounts, this Trunk only includes people who post mainly in English. It means they have to turn away a lot of non-English accounts.

The Trunk admins want to fix this situation.

Do you use a language other than English? Do you want to help make a version of Trunk in your own language?

The English Trunk admins can help you with the technical side, but they need people who speak other languages to moderate Trunks in those other languages.
