@BoosterFive 🚀 Setting up a Matrix-server is a bit of work, true. The documentation is there, but it's not always easy to find what you need. You can get a lot of help online though, and I can recommend the "Synapse Admins" room on #Matrix itself: #synapse:matrix.org.

And as a starting point, I can recommend the video Matthew Hodgson made a year ago, about how to do a complete setup with Matrix and #Jitsi from scratch in about an hour:

Just deleted my #whatsapp account.

I had announced this move weeks ago, mentioning I would be available via the usual channels (phone, email, etc.) and also via #matrix. That's it. No preaching, no convincing, no expectations.
