Hallo!
Ich versuche schon seit längerem, mit meinem #Friendica Account dem User @hubzilla zu folgen. Klappt nicht. Fehlermeldung:
Der Netzwerktyp wurde nicht erkannt. Der Kontakt kann nicht hinzugefügt werden.
überhaupt ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich kaum (keinen?) Hubzilla-Content mit meinem Friendica Account sehe. Kann mir da jemand auf die Sprünge helfen?

I'm starting to think of an honest way to organize your feed. Two ideas:
1) Users split their content into topic-specific channels, followers subscribe only to the channels they like (a #Hubzilla way).
2) A ML service that tags the content with common labels such as language, topic, persons mentioned, and with per-user data via like/dislike buttons (or a better UI) against each label (i.e. hide posts in languages I don't know), users will have a special "ML-filtered" feed.

One thing that I've noticed from federating with #Friendica, #Hubzilla, and #Zap with #Pleroma: statuses that mention me render the mention with my display name, and not my user handle.

This isn't necessarily *wrong*, it's just that the mention is displaying in a way that's native to their own platform. Is there a way to improve how mentions are rendered, so that they look native on the platform that's rendering them?

Like, it'd be nice if I saw my mentions as @sean instead of @deadsuperhero or whatever. So I guess the question is, how exactly might this be fixed? Is there a way for both platforms to render the same mentions differently?

I've managed to follow a #hubzilla account from the directory but I get an error (doesn't recognise network) when trying to add a hubzilla account from the contact search area. Any clues @Hypolite Petovan ?

Frage an !Friendica Support

Hallo Zusammen, ich habe das Problem das wenn ich einen begrenzten Beitrag erstelle dieser zwar alle (Diaspora, Friendica, Hubzilla) erreicht, aber die Leute das eingebettete Bild nicht angezeigt bekommen. Und dabei macht es keinen Unterschied ob ich das Bild ebenfalls in den Rechten begrenze oder nicht. Erst dachte ich das nur Nutzer von Diaspora betroffen sind, aber das Problem betrifft auch Nutzer von Friendica und Hubzilla.

Wo könnte das Problem liegen?

#Mastodon and #Hubzilla don't work well together (#ActivityPub). When I post on Mastodon and someone using Hubzilla comments on my post I don't get any notification. The comment doesn't get added to "Notifications" tab, even when people specifically mention me in their comments. Sometimes I discover by accident that someone answered, sometimes not. Therefore, please don't get mad when you're using Hubzilla and I'm not answering, because probably I simply didn't see your reaction. :(

Holy cow, #YUNOHost now lists #Hubzilla and #Friendica as a "decent quality app", which I understand to mean they're ready for use.

These are apps that could be really useful for community organizing and getting people away from surveillance capitalism. And the status is a change from the last time I looked.

Time to get serious about setting up a YUNOHost instance....

And give them some support.
