- Trump hates Native Americans and wants their Reservation/Treaty Land and all that's on it. He announced only Columbus Day will be celebrated in the US. He will eliminate as many Federal programs and benefits for Native Americans as he can.

There will be two different Americas. Those of us who will continue to observe certain holidays, and those MAGA Republicans who don't.
- Columbus Day is no longer widely celebrated, and in many places, it has been replaced by Indigenous Peoples' Day, due to the controversy surrounding the legacy of Christopher Columbus and his role in the colonization of the Americas. For many Indigenous peoples, Columbus is seen as a colonizer rather than a discoverer, and his arrival is associated with the forced taking of land, widespread death, and the loss of Indigenous ways of life.*
