Pepper & Carrot, Episode 39: "The Tavern" is finally out!

This 11-page webcomic is a standalone episode that you can read in five minutes. It's about courage and an experiment with sound in the comic medium. Translations are already available. We've got English, Français, Deutsch, Español, 中文, Nynorsk, and Toki Pona, thanks to some great contributors. And a big thank you to my 1106 supporters for giving me the time to create this one.

Une BD en trois case de Pepper&SuperFlu: Case 1: Plan d'ensemble sur une fontaine avec une statue de SuperFlu, des colombes s'envole, en fond, une cathédrale avec des portraits géants et solonel de SuperFlu. En premier plan, de dos, Pepper et Sophie commentent: - Alors ça, c'est un sacré égo... - Oui... Allez, au boulot pour réparer le bonhomme. Case 2: Plan sur Sophie, elle soulève une feuille qui révèle un bouton rouge industriel avec la mention "Reboot NOW". Sophie: Pepper ! Ca y est, j'ai trouvé sa commande de redémarrage ! Pepper (hors champs) Bien joué ! C'était où ? Case : Gros plan sur Sophie qui abaisse la feuille qui cachait le bouton en disant: "Derrière ce poster étrange". Le poster en question est une photo de Gee avec marqué "SUDO" au dessus.

Pepper et Sophie sont dans le crâne de Superflu, il y fait nuit noire. — Sophie : « Mince, Pepper, on n'y voit rien là-dedans ! » — Pepper : « Eh bah fais quelque chose… paraît que t'es sorcière. » — Sophie : « Ah oui, attends, j'vais essayer… » — Sophie lance un sort : « Maximum illuminatio ! » On voit Superflu dans un lit d'hôpital, lisant « La Magie pour les nazes », avec de la lumière qui sort des yeux et des oreilles : « Waw ! Ça va être pratique pour lire le soir ! » Au fond, Cayenne pense : « Moi qui me disais qu'il avait pas la lumière à tous les étages… »

Une bande dessinée. Première case, une vieille sorcière austère − Cayenne − claque dans ces doigts "Je ne vois qu'une seule solution pour le guérir.", "Mais je vais avoir besoin d'une deuxième sorcière." Case deux, Sophie, l'assistante de SuperFlu reçois un chapeau de sorcière comme par magie. DZING! Cayenne poursuit: "Sophie, te voilà ma nouvelle élève.". Pepper, en fond, chouine de jalousie "C'est pas juste! moi, ça m'a pris des années". Sophie est aux anges. On poursuit avec une case en vue d'ensemble dans la pièce du chateau. SuperFlu est de dos, laissant apparaitre un certain décolté du bas que ceux qui ont été en hopital conaissent bien. Il marmonne "Oh, mais si je faisait une donation a une asso, on est en Décembre". En premier plan, Cayenne avec sa magie rapeutisse Pepper et Sophie BZIOOOOOOO "Je vais vous réduire. Vous allez comme ça pouvoir entrer dans son esprit directement et ainsi le réparer". Dernière case, un très gros plan autour de l'oreille de SuperFlu; Cayenne tends la main qui permet a miniSophie et miniPepper de s'infiltrer dans l'oreille de SuperFlu. Avant d'y sombrer, Sophie demande: "Mais comment on va faire?", Cayenne "Vous trouverez bien mais faites vite avant que ça soit irréverssible". Superflu marmonne: "... Et soutenir les artistes aussi, bonne idée, ça".

Et visiblement, cette fois, c'était pas juste une épaule démise…

Case 1 : Pepper, angoissée, dit : « M'dame Cayenne ? Vous pensez pouvoir la soigner ? » Case 2 : Sophie, de même, dit : « Il a pris un méchant coup sur la tête à cause de nos blagues. » Case 3 : Superflu en tenu d'hôpital, un bandage autour du crâne, dit bonjour à Madame Cayenne : « Oh, bonjour Mémé Ciredutemps ! J'me souviens plus : vous m'avez mis à Gryffondor ou à Isengard ? ». Madame Cayenne demande à Pepper et Sophie : « Vous êtes sûres que vous le préférez pas comme ça ? ». Superflu ajoute : « Et vous avez vu le chouette turban qu'on m'a mis ?! ». Pepper et Sophie sont dépitées.

Court strip de Pepper&Superflu; Sophie, encore téléphone à la main vient de réaliser quelquechose: "OH NON!", "Quelquechose ne va pas, Sophie?" Repond Pepper, inquiète. Gros plan sur une Sophie alarmée: "Je sais ce qu'il va essayer de faire... VITE!". Dernière case: plan d'ensemble ou Pepper et Sophie amène un matelas en bas du chateau, mais "Trop tard..." comme le dit Sophie, car Superflu a déjà tenté de testé son balais Dyzzon en sautant du premier étage. Il est sur le sol, tombé sur la tête, dans une position ridicule, les jambes en l'air.
