This is Tver. I went there on the last day of long May holidays just to see how it was there. Here is view of Volga river which splits the city in two parts.
For some strange reason some of views reminded me of Vienna - although these two cities have very very little in common in every imaginable aspect.
The city was mostly quiet and empty, the center looking very pristine.
Again reminding me of some European cities I visited in the past.

Cathedral of Blossom
Took this with my iPhone and did very little work on it. I quite like it; nothing special but a lovely memory, being surrounded by all that blossom. There was actually loads more blossom and blossom trees than you can see in this (thus my calling it a "cathedral", but only a video could show it at its best, and I'd never taken iPhone video before from an almost static position (think wheelchair) and I'm not sure about the results I got.

Moscow had snow last week. It wasn't snowing hard nor it was unexpected. It just kept on falling for a few days. Soon the roads required far more than the usual maintenance to be cleared.
I have snow melting station near my home and I watched trucks coming in day and night. At some point it couldn't process so much snow so trucks started forming long queues alongside the street waiting to unload.
I have to admit the city handled it pretty well. Here is garbage truck repurposed for snow duty. Clever.
