I so want this to be a space ship.
Floating listlessly through space.
Spinning slowly,
no hurry,
to the next planet.

This is a photo of a mushroom. It is the traditional mushroom. The long gray stalk, with the gray head on top and the white ribs down below working like structural support of the head. It is a detail of a mushroom. Just the head and the top of the stalk. It is set against a black background as I took this photo with my flash, while kneeling with wet needs on the forest floor. This was on a fallen tree. But it could be a space ship.

In Half Moon Bay, California, I was particularly interested in this organism now that I know it's a lace lichen and not Spanish moss as I'd always heard. #LichenSubscribe #Mosstodon #Mistakendon
Drooping strands of lace lichen over a cypress with a sidewalk passing beneath.

…it is a shame, though, that hashtags are not globally visible or followable. Out of your mentions only #mosstodon exists for me. 😩

So we have #mosstodon, #frostodon and #sporespondence and they make my timeline very lovey. 😊

And TIL that we also have #moostodon for cows, and #asstodon which is for donkeys. I love this ridiculously wholesome place. 😆
