Life punishes those who are late.

What really bothers me: Isn’t there anyone in Germany or the EU who’s grappling with this emerging, AI-driven world? All you hear are these “doomsday” apocalyptic warnings. Meanwhile, things are evolving rapidly in two directions. On the one hand, there’s the U.S. military-industrial complex with its surveillance, war, and the most brutal genocide; and on the other, there’s the open-source wave triggered by China that’s sweeping across the entire world.

You’d have to be a terrible anti-communist racist not to see which side you should be on. It’s absolutely disastrous to just wait and see whether you’d prefer apple or lemon flavor. This is a decision that will change and influence our future—perhaps our entire civilization.

People realize this, of course. There’s a kind of pathological apathy that arises from the fact that there’s no meaningful vision for the future. China has that. Chinese universities are developing new drugs and technologies. Work is becoming easier. Dark factories build things without human intervention. There’s also a counter-movement to AI in China, but not out of fear—rather, to create or preserve analog spaces. Hence the artists’ villages and the famous bookstores. Beautiful, liberating places without AI. But not out of fear or desperation—rather, because it’s possible, because everyday life is becoming simpler.

China is at least 20 years ahead of us. And the “West” stands there as what it is: a bloodthirsty war monster and child murderer.
