I just realized that on my Friendica account I have 659 #Fediverse / #Federation followers, while I only have 114 #Twitter followers, despite the latter network having way more users and cross-posting to and from each other.

This just shows that network total size just isn't a relevant metrics when choosing a social media platform.
I also realized that I get more comments on Fediverse posts. This is why I post here stuff which I want to open for discussion and I tweet stuff that where I only want to get some attention or more Austrian specific stuff.
On TW you're just a drop in an ocean :-)

You can easily gain followers there too with the usual cheap Likes by (re-)posting about politics and climate and do a lot of yelling. That triggers so many people. Question is do you really want that? :)
@Beko Pharm I'm not in the habit of adapting my posting behavior to the platform I'm on, rather the opposite, I'm choosing the platform depending on what I want to post.
