If I stop using #Lotide, should I switch to #Kbin, or #Lemmy?

Mostly poor federation, especially with #Kbin but also with #Rebased / #Pleroma

Working on an article about #Lotide to post from @casey-magazine. I'm starting to get quite frustrated with its lack of federation, this time, with its lack of federation with #Kbin. Federation between #Kbin and #Lotide is quite literally non-existent.

It used to be called #Soapbox before @alex split off the frontend from the backend. It's based on #Pleroma but has quote posts and other features.
#Mastodon has been perfect so far. But my main is on #rebased, not #Mastodon, so support for both is important to me.
Yep! So #Soapbox was originally a fork of #Gab which was a fork of #Mastodon. It eventually was rebuilt by forking #Pleroma and retaining the existing #Soapbox frontend, and now the #rebased backend and #Soapbox (the frontend) have been split apart, with (IIRC) the intention of #Soapbox being a multipurpose frontend that can be used with different #Fediverse software, and #rebased being a lightweight #Fediverse backend software.

You can visit fe.soapbox.pub to check out #Soapbox and try the software with your instance! It works quite well with #Mastodon and #Pleroma especially, I can't remember if it supports #Misskey at all.
@kjrIn so many hashtags, you are correct. The new Nostr backend I'm building for Soapbox is called #Ditto
#Ditto's purpose is to let clients that use the #Mastodon API to login with and use #Nostr, correct?
