Das Treffen der lokalen Unterstützer*innen Gruppe der FSFE aus Berlin im Oktober (heute 12.10.2023) steht unter dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit und Software. Joseph P. De Veaugh-Geiss von KDE Eco wird einen Vortrag zum Thema halten (Vortrag ist auf Englisch, Fragen können auf Deutsch gestellt werden)
Software hat einen direkten Einfluss auf den Energie- und Ressourcenverbrauch. Seit 2022 hat sich KDE zum Ziel gesetzt, Software bereitzustellen, die dies auf eine Art und Weise tut, die die Umweltauswirkungen von Software für uns und zukünftige Generationen reduziert. In diesem Vortrag werde ich die Arbeit vorstellen, die KDE Eco leistet, um dieses Ziel zu erreichen.Joseph P. De Veaugh-Geiss ist der Community Manager des KDE Eco Projekts. Das Ziel von KDE Eco ist es, Nachhaltigkeit als Teil der Entwicklung und Anwendung Freier Software zu stärken.
Das Treffen findet heute im "offline" in Berlin Neukölln statt. Das findet ihr in der Lichtenrader Str. 49 unweit vom U-Bahnhof Boddinstraße direkt am Tempelhofer Feld. Das Treffen beginnt um 19 Uhr.
