I've managed to follow a #hubzilla account from the directory but I get an error (doesn't recognise network) when trying to add a hubzilla account from the contact search area. Any clues @Hypolite Petovan ?

During that time I have met a lot of nice new people, also in real life. Some of them are still here, some are gone or I don't find them anymore after so many instance breakdowns, especially in the #gnusocial world. Luckily the #Fediverse is still growing and new ppl arrive while others leave again. !Friendica Support I wanted to setup a mirror contact to #mastodon. I have already setup one for another mastodon account, twitter and RSS/Atom. But as a matter of fact I cannot select the mirror setting in contact's advance settings. It is shown for the other contacts.

I am using 2019.12. Mirroring is enabled by admin (me).

Hey #fediverse experts. I'd like to host an instance for an #environment #protection #ngo but since they obviously care about resources and I heard that #mastodon has a heavy footprint I struggle to find a middle ground. Do you have ideas what to do about it? I e.g. heard about #rustodon but it is nothing near production ready yet.

#Mastodon and #Hubzilla don't work well together (#ActivityPub). When I post on Mastodon and someone using Hubzilla comments on my post I don't get any notification. The comment doesn't get added to "Notifications" tab, even when people specifically mention me in their comments. Sometimes I discover by accident that someone answered, sometimes not. Therefore, please don't get mad when you're using Hubzilla and I'm not answering, because probably I simply didn't see your reaction. :(

Friendica quotes are not correctly displayed in Mastodon

I recently commented on a mastodon "toot". My comment had a bbcode quote tag in it. It is displayed correctly in Friendica, but not in Mastodon. I'm using Friendica 2019.12.

My comment on the reshared item does not appear as a comment on the top level post, although it seems like it has been federated successfully.

I thought this kind of commenting on #ActivityPub posts was working properly, but actually it seems it's not?!

Is there a way to have just one account in the #fediverse, instead of creating multiple accounts on #mastodon, #pixelfed, #peertube, #funkwhale servers? In other words, is there a way to decouple identity from content, now or in the future?

@Adam Clark @Hypolite Petovan As i started my #fediverse career on #mastodon , i'm all for "native reshare" as in "activity for a post" - atleast for ActivityPub-posts. The current "commented share" splits conversations cause it generates a separated comment thread which seems unintuitive and clumsy.

Mumbling to particularly nobody
So it seems installing #Friendica was succeeded.

I still have to review the config, since it's PHP you know, shall be untusted as much as possible.

So far it seems to work flawlessly, albeit pretty slow.

Some tests already succeeded to #mastodon and #diaspora (more or less).

I'll see whether I'll see this message elsewhere. 😉
