NVIDIA Contacted Anna’s Archive to Secure Access to Millions of Pirated Books * TorrentFreak

NVIDIA executives allegedly authorized the use of millions of pirated books from Anna's Archive to fuel its AI training. In an expanded class-action lawsuit that cites internal NVIDIA documents, several book authors claim that the trillion-dollar company directly reached out to Anna's Archive, seeking high-speed access to the shadow library data.

Of course. It's easier that ways as getting all the licenses and acks from the publishers!

Oh for fuck's sake. Instead of fixing its lax security that allows pirates to scour the site and steal ebooks, Amazon is automatically eliminating legit copies of author's books with zero warning for violating Kindle Unlimited's strict exclusivity rules when its bots find free pirated copies online. This is stunningly crass and obnoxious, even for Amazon.
