In the forests of Värmland, just outside Karlstad, one of Sweden's largest private collections of vintage vehicles has resided in a private museum for decades.

Of the 87 #motorcycles in the collection, the majority date from the 1920s and 1930s, featuring well-known names such as #Harley Davidson, #Zündapp, and #Indian, Pierce Four, #Rambler, and #Simplex

The Liljegren Collection is a lifelong achievement.
The auction ends Wednesday-Sunday the 20th-24th of September.

I've always hated #motorcycles because they are a perfect example of one having fun at the cost of many not having fun (they are loud as fuck).

But I recently learned that - despite what I thought - they are not very fuel efficient. High power motorcycles can burn as much fuel as a medium sized car does, while transporting a one or maybe two people.

Now I hate them even more.

One of the random internet people I know has displayed some pics of the Chang Jiang 750 ORV. This looks to be an upgrade of the 640cc Dynasty model and powered by the ever reliable 749cc parallel twin CFmoto engine.

Got to test ride this yesterday. I didn't think there was any way this was worth the premium over a used 650-class bike. I was wrong. The handling is damn near telepathic, and the throttle is *perfect*. Dealer fees make it end up costing a Street Triple's MSRP, but I was still highly tempted. What a machine.

I'm always trying to do my best to encourage young people and women to ride motorcycles, I'm not interested in sleeping with them and that does not factor into my support for them. They are a VERY large part of our future if we want #motorcycles in the west to survive

In Asia everyone rides, they are the ultimate proletariat machine. In the west it seems to be the domain of fat old dudes (average age being 39) on huge tour bikes eating bacon rolls.

Day 5 of the #TenereTravelTrophy with only one more day to go. It was all tarmac today as we rode through the tunnels of the Galamus gorge to Andorra. The bends were tight and as we rode higher the temperature dropped. Tonight we have a hotel for a change, complete with classic cars and #motorcycles in the lobby.
