I've always hated #motorcycles because they are a perfect example of one having fun at the cost of many not having fun (they are loud as fuck).

But I recently learned that - despite what I thought - they are not very fuel efficient. High power motorcycles can burn as much fuel as a medium sized car does, while transporting a one or maybe two people.

Now I hate them even more.
My rant was not meant to be fair, it's a *rant* 😀

To further amend, I love unaltered quiet motorcycles that replace a car for commuting or making money (eg. delivery).

But even when riding a quiet bike for fun, I believe it is questionable to have a hobby based on burning fossil fuel in 2023.

Maybe most motorcyclists-for-fun never fly, are vegetarians, don't own a car and have solar panels on their roof and then it's all offset and fine ;) I love those people, not hate!

I agree with you. I ride my motorcycle to go work and as I would drive a car. And I have fun riding it. It's something I can't feel inside a car. 🙂 Only riders can understand this! 🤣😉
My bike is mainly for commuting and as I live in the middle of nowhere, it's really my door to the world. I don't have a car, don't fly, don't eat pork (the most ecologically damaging meat) and only eat locally made cake (Royal Enfield rider stereotypes).
Interesting take. Noted and welcome.
