I just sat down to watch #TheInternational #Dota2 tournament’s final day. It’s happening in China so I’m in for a long night on the US East Coast. I can’t really follow the #Dota2 tag from my single-user instance so I’ll do my own live-microblogging thread.

#Dota2 #TheInternational The censorship at this tournament regarding betting sponsors is harsher than even the Esports World Cup in Dubai. No name appears, of course, but no logo either, resulting in unrecognizable team branding. “Iron Wing” (1win, former Tundra), “BoomBoys” (BetBoom, “BB team” at the EWC), “Team Vision” (PariVision, “PVision” at the EWC).

I’m not particularly against this censorship, but I got a little confused when the 16 qualified teams were announced.

#Dota2 #TheInternational The game’s not over yet, but it seems Team Vision pretty much conceded the game and the tournament when they picked Juggernaut which will probably omnislash yet another team’s hopes for an Aegis. 😞

#Dota2 #TheInternational Of course, just as I write this, Team Vision takes a clean fight against Team Spirit, which probably adds 10 minutes to the slow agony that this game is shaping up as.
