From Word and Excel to LibreOffice: Danish ministry says goodbye to Microsoft

All employees at the Danish Ministry of Digital Affairs are to work without Microsoft. Instead, Linux and LibreOffice will be used, says the minister.

Changing is not the difficulty but remaining. In Germany we had the same process in the town administration of Munich. Then they had an incidence of complete IT blackout because one single Email with a very long title chrashed the whole system.
At the same time Steve Balmer was on ski holiday close to Munich. He heard about, took the opportunity and sent them a "very good" offer. For the bosses of town administration it was obvious, that Linux is nonsens and they switched back to Windows.
