A reminder that when you are driving through areas where there is wildlife, drive more slowly and cautiously and not only in National Parks. Too many wildlife are killed by speeding cars. This grizzly and cub were in the raod when I rounded a bend. I was able to stop at a distance from her because I was driving slowly..https://belinda-greb.pixels.com/collections/wildlife #sharetheroad #gizzlybear #grizzlies #grizzlycub #coy #grizzlycoy #wildlifephotography #bearsofinstagram
A mother grizzly and her coy (cub of the year) in the road along the Alaska Highway. As I rounded the bend I saw the mother and behind her was the tiny cub. The cub ran back up the hill followed by the mother. I passed them at some distance and then turned around and put my flashers on. They started to cross again but a big rv rig came hauling around the bend. He wasn't slowing so I laid on my horn whereupon he stopped and the bear and cub went back up the slope. The image shows the curve of the road with the grizzly and cub right at the side of it with wildflowers and other flora around the side of the road.
