Lower Yosemite Falls Through The Trees
I was able to capture this image during the late winter early in the morning so the crowds were low and I was able to set up in the middle of the sidewalk.
The tall Douglass Firs frame the lower falls on both sides. The tops of trees further into the image further frame the falls. Normally I would describe a photograph from the foreground into the background. In this case I will do the opposite. Also I don't normally place the main subject dead center. But in this case the main subject is Lower Yosemite Falls in beautiful Yosemite National Park. The falls are flowing at a reduced flow as it's early spring and early morning. The snow that feeds the creek at elevation melts slower at night and reduces the flow. On both sides of the falls beautiful green Douglass Fir frame the falls and the granite cliffs. In the foreground 2 large Douglass Fir trunks frame the seen.
