@MrGrumpyMonkey @FlohEinstein It's funny to me every time a fantasy author tries to rationalize magic, as there wouldn't be any wizard in such a world, but "ether engineers", "flux technicians" and "mana managers".
@Robert Petersen @FlohEinstein Thinking? Hardly, unless you have a very limited definition of thought. Don’t get me wrong, it still is magic to me, but computers don’t “think” in any meaningful way.
@hypolite @Sonikku I try not to think of computers as "beings" but when you have certain errors that seem untraceable, intractable, inattributable it becomes really difficult. Then, the computer's behaviour seems like an active act against me personally. Especially if the dammed thing works as intended when somebody else uses it. @Joe W I must admit I've never used a computer at that level. All the errors that I've encountered in my software engineering jobs were either my doing or actual hardware failures.
