!Friendica Support

Heya .... how can one create posts with CW (content warning) or NSFW tag functionality on friendica so the content is hidden and needs a click to get opened?
Just because I did just write something about abstracts into the Friendica Wiki ;-)

https://wiki.friendi.ca/docs/abstract

Basically you cannot enforce an hidden postings upon other Friendica users because they have their own tools to define their own filter words/conditions. But you can use the abstract BBCode tag to get the desired effect on Mastodon.

Filtered word: nsfw

@hackbyte shure it has - see the end of the article. Additionally Friendica has filter addons the user has the control over (wordfilter, the advanced filter that acts on user defined conditions).
You can add text inside the tag abstract.

Though most on friendica prefer the filtering to be receiver side rather than the sender guessing
@silverwizard Well .. i was just irritated about not seeing my own texts hidden.. I was used to that my text gets hidden right after posting on #diaspora .. so i didn't see / grasped how it worked over here actually... ;)
I have previously opened an issue about this behavior, because I also think it is unintuitive/undesirable for content filters not to apply to a user's own posts.
@Spencer@silverwizard It's hugely un-intuitive indeed... But understandable..

Maybe a better variant could be to at least show the abstract text additionally to the remaining plaintext instead of it vanishing completely.
