Here we go again: Russia slows down Twitter over 'banned content'
"Slowing down" is basically another word for blocking because it doesn't load on affected links at all. Of course this couldn't go on without major clusterfuck breaking tons of completely unrelated things as yesterday apparently their DLP systems blocked every domain matching "t.co" pattern. Like "microsoft.com" or "rt.com".
Fuckers...

•My home ISP isn't affected but my mobile operator is.

•But no, it isn't about DNS. Likely it is traffic shaping triggered by SNI. Although they do spoof DNS requests too.

•This is why I am keeping it :) It is small and quite expensive but I prefer to support independent company rather than flock to Rostelecom.

•Here some of the bigger ones don't even allow to install your own router anymore.

•I don't think provider's router means anything. you may have your router next to theirs. this does not matter. just two routers in a line is a way nonsense. I don't see any reasons for this stupidity. and there's nothing profitable for provider either.

•But then big ISPs are becoming too set in their ways and just don't allow exceptions. Two routers in a line are nonsense indeed - and also you have to deal with tech support every time you want to change port forwarding or WiFi password.
By the way sometimes their WiFi passwords are not unique so if they leak someone can get into your network and torrent some porn or something like that :)
