Imagine if all the speculative profits on AI was instead invested in proper railroad network.
It would actually create jobs, make everyone's lives better AND help fight climate change.
But no, because fast profit is the only thing that matters.

•@The Human Capybara Not sure the profit speed applies here. After all AI companies have been setting huge piles of cash on fire daily for the past several years.
On the other hand, the potential for global disruption where they insert themselves as a mandatory toll booth for all intellectual creation worldwide is way too juicy to pass up on.
