I had to leave the Ivory app. as far as I remember, it was a one-time payment deal, I bought it. I didn’t post here for a while and a few days ago it started to prevent me from posting. reason: “this is a paid feature”.

I think it’s a dark pattern, to say the least.

thy never offered a one-time payment option, only yearly subscription :/

@Gerego oh, that explains a lot. I - for some reason - remembered that it was a one-time payment structure. in this case, I let it go, I didn't like that app that much anyways.

@Gerego I prefer @elk PWA instead of iOS / Android #Mastodon apps.

It is available both desktop and mobile environment if the native app not fits your needs, I like the #UI of Elk.

maybe I just have low standards/expectations (I do) but I'm usually perfectly fine with the web UI (and there is cool clients like https://phanpy.social )
