this has been causing quite a storm on the community forum, and it seems that Allan is in strong minority, basically nobody agreeing. Still, the devil's in the details: it was not just about wtf.

@grin That's a dead link. Did you make a mistake, or did the mods hide that too?

All 5 mods voted for it, that's not a minority.

The other half of the reason for the ban is pretty sus and wtf-ery too.

No that's *&^%$#@! discourse which choose to invalidate URLs depending on the phase of the moon. I have removed the number from the end, but still I realised that this thread may or may not be viewable outside moderators.
I am usually not involved in politics but it seems to me that there is Allan supporting this and since he's a senior others accept his decisions, while others with less personal attachment strongly criticise the move.
It has been kind of pushed at the Board, as I see, but I fear that the information flow is one-sided.
