Some want to live in a simple world where if people lives are made miserable enough they will quickly change their government.

Most of the time it does the opposite.
well, if that doesn't help - they are to blame themselves only. If they want to remain slaves - it is their deliberate choice.
Again, "some want to live in a simple world".
It is easy to be a philosopher if it is not your kid that gets killed. There is nothing complex in genocide - you either fight it or you support it. Stop fooling yourself - your government‘s actions are your responsibility, and doing nothing to stop those actions makes you an accomplice to the crime.
By that logic a lot of people are accomplices to the crime.

I don't see NATO locking down the airspace.
I didn't see EU/US stopping support of Putin's regime until two weeks ago.
I didn't see much support for the opposition either - no one really cared.
No one cared about ongoing conflict with Ukraine either.
What Just about everyone was fine with - our elites channeling their wealth abroad.

It is not about philosophy, just how it works. Now the question is what everyone wants - to find someone to blame or to get some actual results that matter.
