Honestly, though, Mastodon has become a lot more interesting and compelling since the very recent big wave of former Twitter users.

I, personally, don't need it to grow much beyond this for it to be useful and entertaining to me. But it definitely crossed a threshold for me this year.

Honestly I had never heard of Mastodon before last month. I had an account other places that I never used, but recent events prompted me to just delete that garbage and I found this place. It seems like it has embraced some of the ideas covered in the “Your Undivided Attention” podcast (which I’m pretty disappointed in for being absolutely crickets for the past 2 months)
