It seems completely unrelated (despite using the series and the characters' names) which makes it that bad for anyone acquainted with the books. Otherwise it seems like a run-of-the-mill science-fiction show.

I haven't read the book and the TV show was how I knew about Foundation. And it seemed quite enjoyable. What in your opinion is wrong about the TV show?

@Senya If you haven't read the books it absolutely doesn't matter to you as you wouldn't know the reference. This is also why I don't suggest you try to read them as your expectations based on the TV show would likely be heavily disappointed.

I never read the books either, but from what I do know much of the show is made up whole cloth. Typical TV adaptation.
