I can't attest about the accuracy of this piece, but it makes a strong argument for why the AI bubble hasn't popped yet despite showing no tangible results compared to the marketing claims: it has devolved into a full-fledged cult and not buying into the faith, even superficially, can cost one's livelihood. And so the public positive reinforcement loop goes on, while in private people are often skeptical at best, and rightfully so.
